Den Site (OLD)

First topic message reminder :



This is Earth Clans rock den. It is still in the Main Territory grounds however it is to the west end. Wolves go here to store medicines, items or to just rest up. The ground is usually always covered in fallen leaves but when it isn't, the grass is a gorgeous thick green. Inside the den, there are many tunnels dug out that are large enough that an adult wolf is able to stand up [with its head held low though]. This is a great place for pups to be raised in their first few weeks.


Prey:
 mice and rats, wild turkeys [spring only]

Terrae padded through the snow and leaves swiftly. The snow was thin here, so it made walking much easier. Her tail wagged slowly and her ears perked in all directions listening to the animals nearby.
 Terrae looked down into the den, as she walked up a few rocks, and then placed the meat to the left in a chamber.

Klepto grinned. She loved collecting. She wagged her tail as Twosocks invited her and Terrae accepted. They seemed to not mind her as much as the other packs did. But that was different. Very different. "Sure! I'll go with you," she said to the sandy male. She looked at somebody else who had come to the den, a white femme. When she said hello, Klepto wagged her tail, replying, "Thanks for the welcome!"

She walked slightly deeper into the wood. There was a small clearing, and a grove of plantain, marigold, jewelweed, coneflower, and chamomile were fighting for the sliver of sunlight. Klepto looked at how far the plants were from the den. Not far, just a few bounds away. "Lets not collect here. Here's close enough so that we could have them grow a bit, then harvest them sustainingly. Sort of, like, make the supplies last as long as we can. Plus they're perenials." Klep looked at the sandy male. "Where should we go?"

An agitated and rather exhausted Ahkari trotted through the forest. Her pelt was caked with mud, she was hungry, not to mention that she didn't get a good sleep -or meal- in days and she lost her home and possibly her friends and family to a bunch of mangy, good for nothing, fire wolves. And here she was, going who knows where in search of prey and she has to keep a lookout for Fire Clan wolves. So really, she wasn't in the best mood today. "Where's the blasted prey when you bloody need them?" She muttered angrily. Then her mind went into a debate whether she should stop to rest, or continue to search for prey and have a little chance of catching in her state, and a smaller chance of finding them. Unfortunately for her, hunger eventually won. As she continued she caught a scent of wild turkey but it was a very stale scent. "Darn it! I should've been here days ago but my good for nothing gut told to rest in that muddy rabbithole! And there wasn't a single rabbit in it! Ga-" A strong but an unfamiliar scent clogged her nose and stopped her from going into a complete tantrum. "Wolves?" She got another sniff just to make sure it wasn't Fire Clan scent. "Ah, Earth Clan! And, other wolves?" She was excited but hoped that they weren't hostile, or worse working with the Fire Clan! "Stop being paranoid, Kar." She said herself. "What other choice do you have? Plus, there's no Fire Clan scent." She continued and an empty den with a strong scent of Earth Clan and other wolves as well. She followed the trail and found two trails leading in two directions. She followed the most recent one with different scents, and hoped that these were friendly wolves she was dealing with.

Klep trotted into the clearing. She glanced around swiftly, unable to restrain herself from her habit, then dashed into the den. She slowed her beating heart, then looked out. She was alone. She breathen slowly, then went deep into the den. Sniffing around, Klepto found the section of the den housing the herbs, for it was sweet-smelling. She smiled, unrolling her parcel and spreading the plants out to dry, so that they didn't get any mold. She carefully leaned the birchbark against the wall, for future trips, then went to explore the den.

The den had many compartments, and some were small, and others rather huge. Some had interesting items in them, while others were plain and bare or had just normal things. However, all were mesmerizing to stare into, and look at the various objects. Finally Klep went back to the den entrance. She didn't know what exactly to do, so she just lay down at the entrance. After a little while, she decided to go to wherever the pac went. She sniffed the air, then raced off on the pack scent.
